Diamonds Care

How to Take Care of Diamonds

1. Clean Regularly

At home: Soak your diamond in a mixture of warm water and mild dish soap for 15–20 minutes. Use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub, especially around the setting.

Avoid harsh chemicals: No bleach, acetone, or abrasive cleaners—they can damage the metal setting or reduce the diamond’s brilliance.

2. Store Properly

Store diamonds separately in a fabric-lined jewelry box or in individual soft pouches to prevent scratching other jewelry (or being scratched).

Diamonds are super hard, but they can scratch each other or softer stones.

3. Handle With Care

Avoid touching the diamond too much—oils from your fingers can dull its sparkle.

Take off diamond jewelry during workouts, gardening, cleaning, or anything rough.

4. Get Regular Professional Checkups

Jewelers can check that the prongs or settings aren’t loose.

They also have ultrasonic cleaners for deep cleaning—just make sure the diamond is secure before using those.

5. Avoid Extreme Conditions

Don’t expose diamonds to sudden temperature changes or extreme heat—this is rare, but it can affect certain settings.
